Tales of the Century: Hole in the Sky
U.S. Marshal T.H. Mars has lost his prisoner in a train wreck on the way to Yuma, and the only way to get him back is to follow him into a twisted network of arroyos which all lead to the same place and time, somehow.
Centurion LXI (Lennox Grey) has his own job to do in the arroyos, where the Ley Lines cross and sometimes, Things like to come through. The area has been sealed off from the outside world while the work is done, but not before the marshal and the prisoner chase each other into his bubble of space and time.
